- Act as primary contact with the Department of Chemical Engineering
- Run weekly officer meetings
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities and track AIChE UW operations
- Act as final decision maker
- Attend regular meetings including faculty meetings and AIChE student conferences
- Maintain AIChE UW RSO status through the Student Activities Office
- Maintain access to financial accounts with the Treasurer
- Work closely with and serve as a stand-in for the President
- Head graduation planning
- Assist in decision making with elected officer team
- Manage AIChE UW email account
- Oversee committees & help committee chairs when needed
- Head event planning (BBQ, tours, outreach, etc.)
- Organize food and drink including application for required permits (banquet, food handlers, etc.)
- Assist in decision making with elected officer team
- Act as primary manager of all AIChE UW financial accounts
- Control AIChE UW money box used during events/Manage Venmo Account
- Manage collection of money for apparel, snacks, etc.
- Track event attendance
- Maintain ledger
- Work closely with elected officer team to ensure responsible handling of funds
- Head apparel
- Responsible for meeting minutes
- Create and distribute marketing material
- Work closely with Webmaster to maintain up-to-date website information
- Develop AIChE UW professional relations with industry and academia
- Leverage existing department and student relationships to build AIChE UW network
- Maintain relationship with local Puget Sound AIChE chapter
- Work closely with Social Chair to plan tours and events
- Develop AIChE UW relations with student and nonprofit organizations
- Organize outreach and volunteer opportunities
- Partner with RSOs (WChE, ACES, etc.) for joint social functions and outreach events
- Coordinate with ChemE advisors to aid with department hosted tours, panels, etc.
- Facilitates off-campus college-to-college (CTC) transfer panels in partnership with UW’s Engineers Without Borders, First Year Programs, Community College Engagement Initiative and faculty and staff from local community colleges
- Work closely with Social Chair to plan outreach opportunities and events
- Act as primary manager and designer of AIChE UW webpage
- Monitor and update AIChE UW social media accounts
- Work with other officers to ensure up-to-date online information
